The first Pallium Learning Essential Approaches to Palliative and End of Life Care (LEAP) courses in Niagara and Haldimand Norfolk were offered last spring and in Hamilton-Burlington this spring.  The Network and Division of Palliative Care, McMaster University, are planning to offer it again this year. This course is offered in the HNHB community 3 times per year. The 2 day LEAP course offers an opportunity for active learning about current best-practice in caring for patients with life-threatening and life-limiting illness, with a special focus on family practice and community settings.
